The Centres for Mental Health provide information and resources to individuals with mental health illness or mental health concerns, their families and the community at large. The centres offer centralized points in the various communities in which they are located to access mental health information and services.
The Centre for Mental Health provides an array of information resources including:
Grand River Mental Health and Addictions Directory: This directory is a database listing of mental health and related resources in the Region of Waterloo and Wellington Dufferin Counties. Information is accessible by phone, by visiting the Centres for Mental Health or on the website
Brochures and Information Sheets: The Centres provide brochures and information about CMHA and community services in addition to information about mental health issues.
Internet Access: Internet access is available in each of the Centres as an information resource.
Workshops and Educational Events: The Centres for Mental Health sponsor workshops and educational events in addition to providing information about learning opportunities in the community.
Access to Office Equipment: The Centres provide access to office equipments (including: computers, fax machines and telephones) to assist people with linking to community resources and with one another.
Community Education: Various educational services are provided through the Centres for Mental Health including presentations to schools, service clubs and organizations, information displays and participation in health fairs and community events.
